View ProfileSpend a rewarding day restoring the riverbank ecosystem at Riverside Park. Activities include removing invasive species, planting native shrubs and wildflowers, installing erosion control barriers, and conducting a biodiversity survey. Our ecologist will lead a brief training session at the start. All tools and materials provided. Wear waterproof boots and clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Lunch and refreshments included. Volunteers will plant approximately 500 native seedlings across a 200-meter stretch of riverbank.

Our nursery partners have delivered 500 native seedlings including river birch, buttonbush, and cardinal flower. These species are perfectly suited to the riverbank habitat and will help stabilize the soil and attract pollinators.
